Windows phone app development
At my spare time I like to do some development for windows phone. Currently I have created two apps for windows phone.
Exoplanet
Click here to visit the official windows phone store webpage for this app.
An exoplanet (extrasolar planet) is a planet outside the solar system. It was not until 1992 the first exoplanet was discovered, and since then several hundred have been discovered. With this windows phone application, you can get an overview of all the extrasolar planets that have been discovered. Some of the functionality includes (but is not limited to):
- Listing all the exoplanets and sorting them by name, size or earth similarity
- Graphically comparing the size to many different solar system objects (including Earth, Jupiter and Neptune)
- Viewing detailed information about the exoplanet such as mass, surface temperature and discovery method.
- Getting a list of the habitable or earthlike exoplanets.
With new exoplanets discovered every week, you can choose to update the app with all the latest discoveries anytime you want!
In the near future I'm planning to expand this app with more functionality as 3D generated planets/stars, possibility to see host star for exoplanet and much more.
Planet memory
Click here to visit the official windows phone store webpage for this app.
This is an astronomical version of the classic "Memory" game, in which the goal is to match the different planets and moons of our solar system in a pair (two and two). The faster you match the planets/moons the better your score. There are three difficulties available.
