Perseids

This is the second year in a row that me and my wife are having vacation at Utö. Just as last year, we made sure to go there in the time of the Perseid meteor shower. This year there was no moon, almost wind-free and a pleasant temperature to be outside. During the peak (12th of August) there were also no clouds so it was basically perfect conditions. This picture was taken during the peak. We saw several very powerful perseids. Even though the picture is pretty, it's best to experience the perseids live. We took two beach chairs and laid down and watched the perseids for several hours. I've also created a timelapse movie from these nights, which is available under videos.
